Question:

Was "securing empty trash" and allowed it to work. The system slowed to almost a crawl. The beach ball was spinning and wouldn't allow me to continue work. So I shut down all other processes as to allow the trash to continue. The system then went to sleep so I figured the trash process was done. The MBP would wake up, in fact shut down when I tried to wake up. I would press power button but nothing. I found it odd that the battery would have drained, but I plugged in the power supply. Bingo, the MBP powered up, and the battery life was at 75%. I don't understand why this happened.

Any Ideas?
