Now that ive done a clean install of SL, Sibelius Student can't find a midi device to play through... ive installed rosetta and i have the latest upgrades.

Is there any way i can get sound in sibelius, becuase it would help a great deal with my composing...

What kind of keyboard is it? Can Garageband detect it (now)?

I am not even attempting to connect my m-audio midi controller with it yet, i'd just like to hear some sound from the built in output midi when i insert some notes. I go into set up midi devices, and in Leopard and Windows there was just a standard midi device that would play through my speakers. No midi device detected in SL. I know for a fact that it is wrong because Reason 4 has no problem.

I hope I don't have to buy a new version of Sibelius.

My first thing would be to check and see if this app has any available updates that may resolve this issue. Also contact the company as they will be able to inform you as to what the issue is much quicker than anyone else. I hope this helps!
