I recently had the Apple Store reformat my mid 2010 i5 MacBook pro 15" and reinstall OS 10.8 Mountain Lion. Everything is working as it should with one exception. The finder sidebar will not correctly display the desktop icon.
Any idea how to fix this? I've tried removing it and re-adding it but it doesn't help.
