I just started using the dvd player on my new MBP. However, when watching full screen movies, I noticed that it doesn't stretch to the whole screen. Instead, black sidebars appear on the left and right side of the movie. I know this preserves picture ratio, but I think I would rather the little distortion and have it stretch full screen. Is this possible?

Re: sidebar in dvd player?

Yes, in DVD Player's "Window" menu, choose "Video Zoom" and you will be able to zoom into the picture so the back bars aren't on the sides.

Good Luck,
