Can anyone explain how they make use of Sidecar? I find the interface a bit clunky and non-intuitive.

When I heard about it, I thought it would nice to cull my photos in Lightroom from the comfort of an easy chair, but clearly it was designed for something else

I use it as a second monitor and never interact with the iPad itself directly when in use. The entire interaction beyond it acting as a display feels half-assed to me. I also use Spectacle to manage my windows between displays.

I am also a bit confused as to its main benefits. If you want to edit a file using an Apple Pencil, OK but then why not just use your iPad on its own? Although I do use iCloud, so all files available on all devices. I suppose not everyone has iCloud.

I just started messing around with Sidecar this evening with my M1 and iPad Pro. I find that it does come in handy for moving a full screen tab over to the iPad and now, I can easily see one of the tabs that was open on my Mac, without losing the view of my current viewing tab. This is multitasking on a new level for me. It will take a little while for me to get try all the features and get proficient but, from what I can see thus far, this is something I will use on a regular basis.
