SideCar and display scaling

Is it really intended behaviour that sidecar resets the display scaling to the default setting while active? I usually use the max space setting, but it resets to default when connecting. I was really looking forward to increase me screen estate, but now I am probably not going to use the feature.

I am using a 2019 15” MBP and iPad Pro 11”.
