These are the models that will not have Sidecar, even with the latest update:
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPad (5th generation)
That being said, here’s all the iPad models that can be used with Sidecar running iPadOS 13 and later:
  • iPad (6th generation)
  • iPad (7th generation)
  • iPad mini 5
  • iPad Air (3rd generation)
  • iPad Pro (all generations)
With these models above, even if you don’t have an Apple Pencil, you can use Sidecar without touch interaction. It’s also important to note that with macOS Catalina, the following Macs are required to use Sidecar:
  • iMac 27″ (Late 2015) or newer
  • MacBook Pro (2016) or newer
  • Mac Mini (2018)
  • Mac Pro (2019)
  • MacBook Air (2018) or newer
  • MacBook (Early 2016) or newer
  • iMac Pro (2017) or newer

OK, Does this mean that my late 2013 iMac 27" will nit be able to use sidecar?
I also can no longer use screen mirroring.
