Sidekick plan w/ unlocked 2g

Hey so i posted this in the troubleshooting forum but I don't think that gets much traffic. I just unlocked a 2g iphone and I'm having trouble using edge. I have the 19.99/month sidekick plan but I've heard mixed things about whether or not the sidekick plan works with the iphone or not.

What APN do I need to use with the sidekick plan on the iphone?

It doesn't work. You need a normal internet-capable plan (not BlackBerry, not Sidekick).

I have the sidekick $19.99 plan and it DOES work on the iphone. I've been using it on my iphone 2g for about 8 months now. Works perfect! Youtube, maps, etc.

You need to go into Settings, General, Network and
the APN is hiptop.t-mobile.com

From both what I've heard from T-Mobile and from what I remember when I tried the exact same thing, it doesn't work.

It might be possible depending on their network setup (IIRC the Sidekick uses a HTTP proxy somewhere along the line), but I wouldn't count on it.
