I'm not sure which forum to post this in, but because it originates on the Apple Watch, I thought I'd start here.

When viewing the "Show All Data" in Blood Oxygen section of the Health app on my iPhone, some readings show the Watch icon from the front, but some readings show it from the side... like this:

Does anyone know what this signifies? I thought at first it designated whether the reading was manually or automatically generated, but further testing ruled that out. Then I thought it was threshold levels, but that didn't match the data either.

Does anyone know the meaning?

Thanks!

So just gone and looked at mine, the front facing watch is done in the background, the side facing watch is shown when you have gone in to the Blood O2 App on the watch and completed a reading.

So in the data you showed above, you ran the Blood O2 App twice and then the watch did one in the background at 11:19PM

You can also see this in the Health App under Blood Oxygen - you can look in the Data Sources & Access menu, it shows all readings taken with the Blood Oxygen app and the watch in the background. All data from the Blood Oxygen app shows the side facing watch.
