Sidewinder Mouse

Hey guys!
So I have a sidewinder mouse from when I owned a PC but when I use it on my mac it doesn't seem very responsive and a bit jittery sometimes for example I can't trust it on flash games where you have to click things fast or in an order, thats just an example for what the problem is, not my needs from the mouse.
