There's nothing more dispiriting than setting up a new website and then seeing the Russian bots glom onto it and mess up your Google Analytics metrics -- especially when completely new to this sort of thing, as I am. After some DIY trial and error, I finally managed to filter out traffic from Samara (where all this crap seems to be coming from) -- only to see new web hits coming in, this time with an origin point labeled "Samara Oblast." So there's ANOTHER filter I have to apply?
I swear, it's like playing Russian Internet Whack-a-Mole.
Any advice?
