I have a mid year 2013 13 " macbook air running yosemite, the last several days when starting I get a pop up box asking me to enter my iCloud password, when I enter the password the box closes and seconds later reappears, if I hit cancel the box goes away, I am connected to iCloud yet it keeps asking for the password, this started prior to the latest Safari 8.0.4 update

In short it keeps asking me to sign in to iCloud and I am already signed in

Any thoughts?

Maybe issues with two-factor authentication?

I ran into this as well over the last few days. Figured it was due to reinstalling OS X. Entered my password about 5 times before the prompt went away.

Two factor is still working, I had to enter a 4 digit code sent to my phone before OS X would install, so it's past the two factor check.

I got this too... ended up signing into iCloud and creating an app specific password. Entered that into the box and voila, haven't had any problems since. I think it has to do with Facetime trying to connect.

I would give it a fake pwd and if it doesn't complaint immediately, it maybe a malware.
