Is a signature required for delivery of the watch (I’m located in the U.S.)? I can’t remember from when I ordered my S2. I have an appt at 11:30 am on 9/21 and will be gone for a few hours. It will be my luck that it would arrive while I’m gone.
once your watch has shipped, you can go out to your purchase on the apple store and there will be an option to print out a piece of paper that says i waive the need for a signature and to leave the package. I believe you just sign the piece of paper and leave it on your door for the UPS/Fedex or whoever is delivering it.
if you have ups my choice or fedex delivery manager you can always have the watch delivered to a ups/fedex location that is closest to your town if your not going to be available on that day. i am going to be on vacation still on the 21st so will be having mine routed to ups/fedex store in my hometown and pick it up when i get back.
I’m weighing whether I should do this or sign the slip mentioned by b1gted, and have the package left in an out-of-sight place. Common sense says to have the package held at FedEx, but convenience wants me to sign and pray.
Been wondering about this, too. I have a little while until it's delivered as I ordered the Nike edition so it'll arrive on Oct 5th. Just wondering if I'll need to take some time off of work to sign for it (or have it held at a nearby UPS hub for pickup, as I've done in the past).
A signature will likely be required. Unless you choose to waive the signature through the carrier ... in which case if something happens, the onus would be on you.
I have mine delivered to my work where there is always someone to sign for it. Several others do this as well. Another option may be to schedule through the courier for you to swing by and pick it up from their facility.
