Significant upgrade to Mac Pro very soon? (link)

I reckon it will get the equivalent 32nm Gulftown processors branded the Xeon 36xx and 56xx series.

No reason to use the $999 Core i7 Extreme 980 XE.

Seriously too – is there a time of day (U.S. Eastern or Pacific) when these things are announced? Pre-dawn starting with a temporary shutdown of the Apple online store? A 10am (Pacific) press release? Or totally random, just to keep us guessing?

I realize that in the big scheme of things, these details matter not a whit. But what the heck.

It's usually around 9-10am eastern that the press releases come out. At least I think it was for the last 3 releases.
