Signing out iCloud before deleting user account

my wife does not use my iMac so I want to delete her user acct. I believe you have to sign out the Apple ID before I permanently delete it. Also it doesn’t appear on her iPhone under devices, is that correct? I never had to do this or just deleting her acct it automatically drops off.

If she is signed into iCloud on the iMac, sign out.

Then delete the account.

Thank you, I did. That's what I thought. Just wanted to double check. What is happening, she is going to get a new PC at the beginning of the year. I'm trying to talk her into getting a new iMac vs Windows...Her choice.
