Signing up for Spotify on iPhone using Apple ID - how can I now log in to account on Mac?

never used Spotify, downloaded the app, figured apple are right about not signing up using Facebook, so press the signup using apple button. the default is not to receive emails. logs in all good. sets up play lists.

how can I then log in on my Mac? id have thought it would be saved in the keychain but its not.

Use the same login details as you did on your iPhone. Or have you forgotten them?

when I signed up it was all quick, it offered me a random email address, and a 'forward to your Apple ID ' which was unselected. now when I go into my account details I can see a long random name which I could type into, but the password isnt accessible and since I cant see the (nonexistent) email address apple signup used I cant get it back.

Hmmm...I'd set up a new account using my Mac.

when I log out and then back in, it asks me if I want to continue with my apple account, doesn't ask me for my password and goes straight in.

so why doesn't that happen on my Mac too?
