Silence Detection while Recording in iPhone

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how can I detect silence/ pause while recording audio on iPhone. Say, any API to do this???
I am recording audio using the AudioToolbox framework and Audio queues. Recording works fine and I obtain the audio properly, but I need a way to take decision to stop recording when silence is detected for a specific period of time say 2 seconds.

I appreciate any help.
