So far, this 13" i5 has been completely silent.
The backlit keyboard looks great.
Trackpad is wonderful compared to Windows laptops.
Lion's pinch to zoom in Safari is a sight to see.

7 hours and 50 minutes show remaining after a full charge.

Apple is going to sell a lot of these ...
 
13'' base model seems to be the best model they offer just by looking at the bases, but going with a 11'' for it's size is understandable.

The 11" is the cheapest way to get a Core i7, since they offer it with the 128GB drive. On the 13" you need to get the 256GB drive.

fair enough, just saying that the entry 13'' looks like the best base model, followed by the high end 11'' imo.
 
The only time that mine has made any noise whatsoever was when Dropbox was syncing ~2GB of data. The fan noise was noticeable and the machine was warm, but nothing extreme.
