Silencing the Trash?

I've looked around the web, didn't find anything relative, and searched here, but no one has seemed to ask.

So,

Is it possible to silence the trash without muting the computer, e.g. while listening to music rudely interrupted by trash can crumpling up paper.

It's just annoying.

Not in sounds Preference Pane or Finder Preferences, any ideas?

Did you actually search or just say that you did? A simple search in Google: "Remove Trash Sound Mac OS X" and the first link: http://macfidelity.de/2009/05/04/mac-how-to-mute-your-trash-in-mac-os-x/

Sorry about that. I used "silence" instead of "remove." Funny how simple changes in the search will reveal such different results. I'll try more synonyms next time.

Nothing to be sorry about. How would you know that it was remove and not silence?
