Does anyone know why this checkbox is unavailable in the options on the new MacBook Pros? It is available on the 12" MacBook with OS X 10.12 Sierra but not the Pro model.

I use tap-to-click, but sometimes I need to click and I really hate the simulated clicking noise the Pro trackpad makes– it cheapens the entire experience for me.

If there is a command line way to set this option on the Pro, please chime in. I found this setting from a reddit thread on the same subject, but it does not work for me:

defaults write ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleMultitouchTrackpad.plist ActuationStrength 0

Does anyone have any ideas?
