Hi, I replaced the broken screen on my iPhone 4 today and the silent/mute switch no longer works. It clicks back and forth fine but does'nt put the phone into silent mode.

Everything else works fine. The volume buttons & vibration are all active.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks in advance.

I'd check the seating of the connector on the motherboard, could be that there may be dirt trapped between a few of the pins. Failing that, I'd say you'd need to purchase a new headphone jack/mute switch/ volume button cable (as these are all on 1 part) due to cable damage. Luckily these are cheap and readily available on eBay
