From Apple's help site: "Use your ISP's SMTP server or smtp.mac.com with authentication for the outgoing mail server."

I think in Mail if you click "create new account" and then choose .mac as account type, it will set the outgoing mail server to smtp.mac.com, by default... not sure - typing this on a PC

Of course you can also use:

webmail.mac.com

for web-based mail.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

sometimes it depends on your internet provider... for instance, if you had say comcast, you'd need to put smtp.comcast.net or something... not all service providers seem to require this. and i'm not sure how you find out if they do, besides just trying it...

another example, when i'm in my school dorm room, on the school connection, i have to use its smtp, even though i'm sending from a different account...

I made a new user and now it's working. Altough it are the same settings I had before.

Thanks guys,
