When it was announced I was hoping the space gray color was going to be closer to the silver on the silver/white phone. There will be those who disagree, but Scratches on the un-anno'd silver are much less noticeable. I'm sure this is why they lightened the slate to the gray, but you'll still see scratches on the gray.
