Hi,

earlier this year I bought an awesomely quick MB134*/A 15.4" macbook pro
. Matte screen
. 2.5ghz with 6MB L2 Cache
. 250gb drive
. nVidia 512MB
. upgrade it to 4Gb ram

I am used to logging around all day, a 13-inch dell with my school books/supplies. The core solo dell will not handle FormZ and minimal video editing. Will a unibody 13" macbook with 4Gb of ram smoothly handle FormZ and rhino rendering with some final cut express ?

Most likely.
There's really very little performance to be gained in going from 13" to 15" on the current models. Hell, the 17" is not that much faster. Though it is sexier... Oh, the sexy...

Edit: Oh, and replace the hard drive with a third party 7200 drive. If you can deal with carrying around an external drive, you should even look into an SSD.
