Going to jump in on my first watch. Will be aluminum - SS looks much nicer but not interested in spending that much right now.

Will wear it to work. I will likely be swapping a wide variety of bands. My thought is silver works better with more bands - does anyone have any pictures demonstrating its versatility? Space grey was my gut instinct, especially given it looks sleeker, but I question how it’d look with a darker brown leather band.

Any thoughts? Thank you!

The sg al is nice looking especially in the office.
Silver is nice but I couldn’t make it work in the office space.

Have tons of sport loops, sport bands and the Milanese.

Black band will suit you fine.
Other bands match to the shirt or pants.

A dark sport loop will be fine anywhere

I think the SG aluminum is a stealthier look than the silver and it can work great in a professional environment. It looks great with a brown leather band with a color matched buckle. I have one similar to this for when I want to dress it up (although I mostly wear it with the sport loop these days because it's the most comfortable).

Pick the one you like more. Your colleagues don’t care nor should their opinions matter to you regarding a preference for a watch.

There have been discussions about this going back to the release of the series 0. Honestly, I don't think it matters unless you're actually working in the fashion industry. I work for a Fortune 500 finance company, and our CEO wears the silver aluminum with brightly colored sports bands. I've seen other execs wearing the rose gold aluminum all the time.

I think any apple watch is awsome, you can't go wrong with that - just change the strap that will fit nicely with your dress code.

Any of the darker color bands should work just don't wear pink or white sports band.

That band is great! Which band is that or where can you get? Thanks!

Its all about how you carry yourself. The space gray aluminum model pairs well with darker color bands. Blue and Brown have a nice contrast to the space gray. But make it your own style and find what works.

Its your preference. My first watch -series 0 -,was aluminum but my 4 is space grey. Both are fine for the office. I like the SB better, well just because. I do think it is a bit less toy like than SB. But it will be more about the bands. The plastic and nylon bands are fun but more sporty. Add a leather or metal band an either model will look more business like.

If it helps, here is my silver 44mm with Apple Classic Buckle band. Although I think this particular band is now discontinued it’ll give you an idea of how it looks with brown leather.
