Since day one I have had issues with choppy video in Silverlight with both Netflix and Amazon streaming video. I have a MB Pro 2012 with plenty under the hood. Decided to try it in Bootcamp with Windows 7 and the playback was flawless. Yes, on the exact same machine. This automatically rules out internet connection, slow server, bad router, etc. I really don't want to reboot my machine out of OSX every time I want to stream a movie. Any ideas?

Hating Microsoft,
Paul

Edit: After a complete uninstall and reinstall, in firefox I have now achieved smooth video out of fullscreen mode. It is still choppy in fullscreen. Safari is smooth in both. I would rather use firefox, but can live with this.

I removed Silverlight from my Mac several years ago as it was causing crashes, and it slowed Safari down all the time, even when there was no Silverlight content around. I haven't missed it. There have been a couple of video streaming websites I wanted to use, but I found alternative sites instead.
