Silverlight websites super slow?

Websites which I believe are using Silverlight to download their interface are extremely slow; like, 5-10 minutes for a site to be downloaded.

It's shows the blue dots going around in a circle and indicates what % has been downloaded so far.

I'm using Safari and Mountain Lion. The internet is otherwise fine.

Any ideas?
