Sim card adapter to allow MBA to use LTE

I was wondering if anyone else has seen any products that allow you to use a Sim card (from say a recently sold ipad 3 ;-) ) in some type of adapter [SD card or usb dongle of some type] to receive LTE service on a MBA?

I have an iphone 5, and i have been just using the hotspot, but I thought this would be a cool gadget when I need totlak on the phone and use my computer at the same time.

You could take a look at UMTS / LTE USB sticks compatible with your network.

The SIM card doesn't provide cellular service, you need an actual cellular modem to be able to connect.

You're probably better off actually, getting a Mifi hotspot, as that would avoid your having to use up a USB port. Or, just set up personal hotspot on that iPad (or on your phone) and use that instead.
