Sim card help

hey guys, so here is my situation, over a year ago i was silly and fell into a pond with my iphone in my pocket. it pretty much filled up with water and days after letting it dry out it worked.. but with a no back light, recently my phone has encountered more problems.. my phone seems to be having trouble reading my sim card.

so i was just wondering if i was to buy an iphone 3gs off ebay, would i be able to use the sim card from my current iphone 3gs and just place it in the newer one and will it work fine, i am on a plan not pre-paid.

If you're on At&t, it should work no problem. If you're on another carrier then you'll have to jb + unlock the phone

Just make sure the one you buy is already on the network you use.

Be careful using e bay.

Or visit your apple store and buy a refurb with piece of mind and warranty.

Depends on how deep your pockets are !

Oh and next time you go for a swim get changed first.... lol.
