SIM Card Question

I have never messed around with SIM cards so I appreciate any helpful feedback.

I am waiting on my new 64gb iPhone 4S . I am thinking about giving my mother my current iPhone 4 to replace her iPhone 3G. We're both on AT&T, so can I just pull out my SIM and replace it with the one from her phone?

Hers won't fit into the iPhone 4, you'll need to swap it for a microsim or cut it down yourself
