SIM card randomly disappearing

Ever since 2.1 at random times (not daily just maybe twice a week). A message pops up that states "No SIM card installed." It was so bad I had to carry a paper-clip in my wallet, and will even happen right after I get off the phone. My phone is not jailbroken and its just been replaced for a light leak on my old one but the old one did it as well. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so any solutions.

I've had it happen - 2G iPhone, Jailbroken, 2.1. Just a bug. Only has happened to me twice.
