Sim Card Slot iPhone 5

I recieved my iphone today and when i put in my nano sim and pushed in the thing it seems to be slightly higher then the side of the phone,is it suppose to be like this or is it suppose to be leveled with the side? thanks

Mine is level and so is my friend's Verizon one. Is yours creating a small lip? That was the case though with my old iPhone 4. I would not worry about it as long as you're getting service.
