Trying to add my iPad Pro to my ATT Mobile Share account

I entered the IMEI number from the back of the box
fyi - ATT identified it as a iPad Pro (silver) cellular when it's iPad Pro (space grey) cellular.
I pressed continue anyway. (finish color probably doesn't matter)

Then it asked for the 19-20 digit SIM card #
ATT instructions said to look in General --> About --> CCID #
there's nothing labeled CCID there on my iPad Pro

it's not on back of box either
am traveling; no paper clip handy. I think last time I used a paper clip to remove SIM.

Is SIM card # labeled something else in settings ?

You can add the iPad directly from the iPad itself to your existing Mobile Share plan - I did. Go to Cellular Data, and when it gives you the option to choose a carrier, choose AT&T. It will then give you the option to set up a new account or add to an existing one.

In my box was a tool to remove the SIM.

If it's an Apple SIm look for the "CSN" number I believe it is called in the settings where the IMEI is
Thank you!

Aha - thank you I'll try that first.

It's actually ICCID on mine. But I was replacing one iPad that was on my data plan with this one so I just removed the sim from the previous one (iPad Air) and placed it in the sim slot, removing the Apple one. I did this before turning the device on. Everything set up properly and my cellular data number appears correctly in the About screen. The AT&T account info may not show it as an iPad Pro but the service is active.

This did work. Painless.

Thank you ckiggins.

The $100 statement credit and waving the $40 activation fee was a nice benefit
in exchange for a 2 year commit of a $10 monthly fee
(I added the iPad Pro to my Mobile Share Plan.)

In your iPad Pro box? Where?

I looked through it again and saw
- Lightning cable
- Power adapter
- little box of papers

I believe it was determined that it varies by region, but I could be wrong on that. I'm pretty sure it's been in every iPad I've purchased since I have a collection of them. I think it's the "little box of papers" you're referencing.

Slide #11 on this unboxing image page shows it:
