Sim Card?

Hi, I am new to iPhones. I was recently given a 3G by someone who upgraded to a 3GS. Last night I jail broke it with Pwnage tool and unlocked it with ultrasnOw. It is running firmware 4.0.1. At first I was just going to use it as an iPod, but now I would like to use it as a pay as you go phone. I have no idea what I need to do this, and where do I get what I need? Thank you.
Ps. I don't need data, I will use wifi. I would just like to use the phone.

Just pick up a prepaid SIM from ATT or T-Mo.

Alright I ordered that from ebay, so now I just activate the card and pop it in?
