Hej I'm trying to work out how to turn off or change the lock on the simcard that appears everytime I turn on the phone. (No I'm not trying to unlock the phone). I've looked everywhere, I might be suffering from an acute form of "right in front of my face" blindness, but I can't find it.

n.b the lock is on the sim card NOT the phone i.e after 3 wrong attempts you need to put in the PUK code. Yes I do have the codes, I just get sick of having to remember yet another bloody number......

Is it any better than just putting a passcode on your phone and having it erase all settings after 10 tries?

I mean, if you lose your phone, you can have your SIM deactivated -- no problem.

Am I missing something? I used SIM lock on my old phone because it had no other lock feature.
