SIM Question iPhone 6

"ATT Free Msg: Your new device requires a new SIM card to give you access to all services."

I get this message when I change phone numbers on my iPhone 6 by putting into it the SIM from an iphone 5S.

What am I missing?

I wonder if it will stop working at some point. Would the new sim work in the 5s as well?

Yes. It works in the 5S without generating the ATT SMS.
