Sim Swap from 2G to 3GS? What to do??

Is is that easy to activate the phone and keep my number or do i have to use the SIM that comes with the 3GS? Im feeling like i have to call AT&T tomorrow when i get the 3GS. Am i correct?

the sim that will come with the new iPhone, will automatically keep your number and activate once you plug it into itunes... so no need to swap sims
