SIM Swap from 3G to 3GS?

So as I wait for my 3GS to arrive via UPS I wonder if anyone can shed some light on my question:

Can I swap my SIM in my 3G for the SIM in the 3GS without any complications or drawbacks?

I plan on activating the 3GS as it is an upgrade to my wife's account but after activating I just plan to switch SIM card so that my number is directed to the phone.

If anyone can help me and let me know if this will work or not please shed some light - of course if I get the package before I get an answer then all is too late!

Yes. I gave my 3G to the wifey who had a 2G by simply moving her SIM. When I got the 3GS I moved my 3G sim into my new phone. Swapping SIMs between iPhones is not an issue. In the interim I used an iPhone SIM from the office.

Obviously this is all from an AT&T perspective. You will still need to work out the apps, settings, ect.
