Sim to Microsim

I currently have an iPhone 3GS with 18 months left on the contract

The contract is with 02 UK.

Does anybody know if i can buy a pay as you go iPhone 4 and have O2
transfer everything from my contract sim to a microsim and continue
the contract on a Microsim iPhone 4?

Yes you can. O2 will be able to transfer your number across to a MicroSIM, although they might charge a small amount for this.
