How do you set your automatic sign-in status to invisible?

I just found this little gem and all the options are making my head spin (in a good way, I suppose).

Thanks for the help!

Which IM service are you using? MSN, Gtalk, Yahoo, .....?

If you only use MSN, I much prefer aMSN as it supports more MSN features than Adium.

aMSn is rubbish on oolder macs. sooo slow, terrible interface

Yup thats the only way unfortunantly

Adium still has a long way to go. I am constantly dissatisfied (custom msn emoticons and video/audio are a long way away) but its the only client I will use. Why? Its the best! :p

I agree the interface is not nearly as nice as Adium's. But aMSN has video streaming and the svn version has spotty support for audio which should be finalized prior to the next full release.

For my needs, Adium gets everything done - except signing on as invisible

Is there some place where I can request a feature for future releases? How often do they update Adium?

Argh, I'm so disappointed. I'm the ultimate OCD user and I thought that I had finally found a program to cater to all my needs. I miss the a-patch for windows messenger :(

Because Adium supports multiple clients and some of those clients don't have invisible as a status, I think that is why it does not have that feature.

Change the status as adium is signing into the account. (you need to be quick!)

It doesn't have to be your last status before quitting.

You can also choose to not automatically connect your accounts, then just connect as invisible when the app has started.
