at the moment I only have Final Cut HD Express, and I normally make 5 minute music videos. I did a simple video edit on a 2 hour DVD that I imported from a DVD to QT. Of course the QT file is much larger then the rip I did (this is 100% legal so you know). I did the video edit for my doctor, made the meeting about 70 min. so the video is about 11GB. About 4 years ago I did a 2 hour video transfer of a wedding, it was about the same size and I was able to get it on iDVD, thus creating a DVD for the video.
For some odd reason the video is not going through iDVD, it goes to encoding and after awhile it just stops, then says "DVD can still be used" for nothing was written on it. I know I have not done this for a few years so I am rusty. Does anyone know a good free program where I can compress the video? Due to the meeting that was taped I needed to edit it down because 30% was not needed. Now I am having the problems, plus I am using standard 4.7GB dvd's, which I know is not perfect, but like I said I made it work before, plus like I said it's not even getting to the DVD. Anyone have any suggestions. I can explain more if needed.
I am waiting for FC PRO when a new Mac Pro comes out (mines been acting funny lately), thankfully it sounds the new Mac Pros are coming out soon!
Any help would be great!
