Hi
I have an 8 core 28ghz x2, 2gig ram leopard 10.5.2

I also have a pro surround sound set of speakers with xlr inputs. Each speaker has its own built in amp and is powered from the mains.

I dont have a decoder but dont want to buy one with amps as I dont need them.

Is there a simple convertor box which I can hook up to the optical audio output on the 8 core so that when I play dvds it will decode the 2 optical tracks and spit out the 6 individual audio channels so I can route them into my 5 speakers and sub?

All I lack equipment wise is the decoder for Dolby sound off dvds or from divx and mp4 formats and other video which has a ac3 audio track
