Hey everyone!

Just wanted to share a small simple idea I had for improving multitasking on iOS.
I suspect this would be almost trivial to implement, but would greatly improve the current 'adjacent card' interaction iOS currently uses for multiple apps.

Here's the idea in action:

A more detailed write up of the concept can be found here:

Please let me know what your reaction to this is!

not trying to hate on this idea but i don't like it

Using it without the home button would be nice but i dont really see it fitting with where apple is trying to go with multitasking.

This would be cool as an option along side the home button method, similar to how the iPad handles multitasking. Would be convenient if switching back and forth between apps. I like it!

Don't think it would work considering many apps have the same motion input for going forward/back eg. Safari

It would be confusing to the average user. Gesture based multitasking on a small screen it ripe for accidental actions. I already pull up control center too often than I want it to open.

I couldn't make sense of it by watching the video. That says something right there, I think.

There were a few Jailbreak tweaks I liked that I thought were a more efficient approach to multi-tasking:

- One of them had a "last app" button added in control center at the bottom that would just "alt-tab" between whatever app you are in and the one you used last.

- The second tweak I saw had a scrolling applist running in control center.

Both of these all you had to do to switch tasks was flick the control center open.

I think the iOS Multitasking on iPhone needs the multitasking gestures from iPad...(but optimized for maybe 2 finger swiping between apps, and maybe a 2 finger pinch to close)
