Simple question about iWeb

Can actually ublish iWeb works online without being a .Mac member?

I mean .Mac is a bit expansive for what it does and we're all waiting for a huge update when it comes to those webservices so..

Can I host iWeb works on my webhost?

Yes, you publish it to a folder and then you have to upload the contents to your host.

Its an extra step, but it works.

Apparently you miss out on the chic slideshow reflection (below). Whether that's worth the cost or not is up to you. I use .Mac for other things so I don't have to make that decision. If there are other differences, I'm not aware of them.
