so since I bought a 8 gig of memory even before getting the mpb, I must ask.

When you get a new mbp and you already have new memory you want to put in, do you just open up the new mbp and put it in before first booting or do you boot first w/ stock memory to make sure all is well before popping in the new memory?? I know simple question -- might also be stupid -- but wanted to ask what most people do...

Technically it doesn't matter, but I would power it on to make sure it boots correctly and you received a working unit.
