Okay, I think many of you are gonna criticize me on this thread but hey, I guess I kind of deserve it :( Okay so here's the thing, I've had the black iPhone 4 since launch day and loving it, but I'm really getting fed up with all the fingerprints and the heat it creates (seriously, it sometimes freak me out  ). I've recently held a white iPhone in my hand and found it amazing! I was wondering, since I have a plan in case of accident with my iPhone, if I could return my black Iphone to replace it by a white version of it
Once again please don't hate on me, it's just a simple question :D

Do you mean "can I cause an "accident" to break my black iPhone and commit insurance fraud to try and get a new white one?"
Sure you can. Is it ethical? Probably not. Plus, I don't know what knd of insurance you have or how it works, but you probably won't get to pick a different color for your replacement phone.

My sentiments exactly.

Yeah, the ethical part disturbs me, I've been loyal to Apple for about 6 years now and I don't want to commit a fraud, I guess I'll stick with the black version ;)
Anyway thanks for the answers
have a great day :D

Whatever the case my be OP, if you get an replacement at the Genius bar, Apple will replace your phone with the exact same model.

Fyi, my phone heats up when I use it extensively or play a game.

You can also sell yours privately (depending on its condition) and pay a slight difference for a new white one, and skip the whole unethical thing.
