Hi,

Has anyone seen a USB-C hub that doesn't have a fixed cable but a detachable one - or alternatively a relatively long fixed cable (say 0.5m)?
I don't want the bulk or the thousand features of a large Thunderbolt or USB-C dock. Essentially, I just need the three functions of the Apple Multiport Adapter: Power, HDMI/DP, and USB data (C or A), or even just any two of them. But I'd prefer to position the hub a bit further away from the Mac than the typical fixed cable solutions allow.

Has anyone seen such a thing?

Thanks.

It's not cheap, but it almost certainly would work:

- Thanks. There are plenty of that sort of larger dock, but it's not really what I want. Too costly, too bulky, and requires external power.

It's weird no one has made an adapter just like the hundreds that exist but with a slightly longer cable.
