I'm just looking for a simple weather app that can obtain the current weather information and display it on the desktop as text that can be customized via typeface, size, weight, etc. I've thought about using an XML feed and making one myself, but have no coding knowledge. It seems like it would be a simple job, maybe requiring some CSS and someways of getting it to display on the desktop and to update every so often.

There's a Windows program called Samurize that can perform this, among many other things, but there's no Mac equivalent.

Example:

Any help?

You could also clip a portion of a web page in Safari and open it as a Dashboard widget. It won't be as customizable, but it sure is simple to create.

I knew about GeekTool, it's just incredibly time-intensive to do, but I did it anyway!
