I'm hoping to not have my computer on 24/7 to use simplify media......anyone know how to wake your pc from stand-by with simplify media?

I don't think it is possible using the program alone; you could try using Wake-On-LAN as a solution from your iPhone/iPod. Look in the App Store for that.
