I bought the Sims 2 for my MacBook in about the middle of last year. I uninstalled it (I dragged the "The Sims 2" folder out of my Applications folder) because I was running out of HD space. I just got a new HD and new RAM for Christmas and want to reinstall it. I put in the DVD, drag the folder to the Applications folder and everything's hunky dory. However, when I try to launch the game, it bounces on the dock and then comes up with an "Application Unexpectedly Quit" alert. I've been looking all day for a solution and then tried to repair permissions, tried to run it with my old HD (which has become my external drive) mounted, tried to delete those pesky .plist files in the Library/Preferences folder and everything. Does anyone have anything new for me to try?

HD: Seagate Momentus 7200.3 SATA 3Gb/s 320-GB Hard Drive

RAM: 4 GB (2 and 2) DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz

Graphics Card: (Factory Standard) Intel Core 2 Duo GMA X3100

Hardly Apple software!

Should think you'd get more repose from a dedicated Sims forum.....

I figured it was worth a try. Do you have any ideas or are you just looking for a higher reply count?
